The Settlement Approval Hearing that was scheduled for July 14, 2026 has been postponed by the Court and rescheduled to August 17, 2026.

 

Information on how to attend the August 17, 2026 hearing remotely will be posted on this website as soon as it becomes available.

Wright v. GM Financial Settlement

 

Welcome to the official website for the Wright v. GM Financial class action settlement.

 

In 2015, GM Financial reported a data breach affecting some customers. A class action settlement was reached, with no admission of wrongdoing. If you provided personal information to GM Financial or FinanciaLinx Corporation for auto financing and received a breach notice in 2015, you may be eligible for compensation.

 

There are two groups of claimants:

 

• Group 1 Claimants - those who suffered identity theft (may qualify for higher compensation with evidence).
• Group 2 Claimants - those who did not (automatically eligible for a nominal payment).

 

No application is needed unless claiming identity theft. You can opt-out to pursue your own claim or you may object to the settlement or fees by written submission.
